Orchids
This is Corné Pretorius' passion, and he started to collect Orchids from the age of ten, when he saw his first bedazzled Orchid at a show!
Like other plants, they first and foremost collect the rare and exotic plants that are on the red data list. The Riebeek Valley Garden Centre is the only outlet for Raindance Orchids in the Cape. Orchids are collected not only for their beauty but for breeding purposes and Corné does regular crosses of wonderful Cattleyas , Angreacums, Cymbidiums and of course the blue orchid Zygopetalums with their very fragrant flowers, of which they have our own line of crosses.
